After School Woodworking Club

Learning to work with a natural material such as wood and using hand tools can be very rewarding. The practical activities that young people undertake will develop valuable skills, preparing them to become independent, confident and most importantly develop a sense of well being in a safe environment.
During the after school club, we will work on fun and interesting projects relating to wildlife such as manufacturing bird boxes, hedgehogs homes, insect boxes or bird feeders. Other fun woodworking projects would include vegetable/flower planters, small tool boxes, door stops, shelving, picture frames or just something nice for Mother’s day or Father’s day.
There is a comfortable seating area with a small table for parents/guardians together with tea, coffee and biscuits. A clean bathroom is also available.
Set of 4 weekly sessions / at least one parent or guardian must be present during the session – Cost per child per set of 4 weeks: £65
Age: 11 to 16
Friday 5th November to Friday 26th November / Time: 16.30- 18.00
