St Peter's Preparatory School, Lympstone is seeking competent and thorough school cleaners to join our team of housekeeping staff.  

There are two positions available to commence as soon as possible:

  • 12.5 hours each week (2.5 hours per day during term-time, Monday to Friday, 17:30 to 20:00)
  • 15 hours each week (3 hours per day during term-time, Monday to Friday, 16:30 to 19:30) 

There is one additional position commencing 13 March 2023:

  • 15 hours each week (3 hours per day during term-time, Monday to Friday, 16:30 to 19:30)

There may be some flexibility to start and finish later than these times if required and this can be discussed at interview.  

Additionally, each position will require a further 90 hours to be worked, spread over the three main school holidays (Christmas, Easter, Summer), in order to deep-clean the school.  

Cover for absent cleaners in our other areas may be offered at times. 

The salary is £6,443 per annum for the 2.5 hours per day position and £7,512 for the 3 hours per day position. Both salaries are inclusive of statutory paid holiday entitlement. 

Prior experience of domestic or commercial cleaning is required. A good knowledge of health and safety is essential, as is a keen attention to detail and an awareness and understanding of a school environment.
