East Devon District Council has welcomed Promenade Promotions to Exmouth seafront for a regular slot bringing traditional British entertainment to the town.

Traditional seaside acts include a circus and Punch and Judy and you can expect to find them on the Beach Gardens in Exmouth every Tuesday until 1 Sept from 11am - 4pm.

Promenade Promotions, or Prom-Proms for short, specialise in "promoting and preserving the art of British popular entertainment through the delivery of acts, projects, workshops, consultancy and research."

Published on their website: "From tomorrow (11 Aug) we shall be performing every Tuesday on Exmouth seafront on the Beach Gardens. Come along and support live entertainment, if you can!"

Referring to a recent performance in Teignmouth, they said: "We have done it - today was Prom-Prom's first day of the 2020 summer season, as Uncle Tacko's Flea Circus and Professor Gayton's Punch and Judy, together with Sergeant Spike, performed on Teignmouth seafront.

"We think that we are one of the first outdoor seaside live performance events to take place in the UK: as you can see from the picture, we took social-distancing precautions with mats and benches, all disinfected between shows."
