Update: A376 Exmouth Road reopens after incident involving lorry

Update 10.11pm: The road has since been cleared and is now open again.

Update 4.39pm: The object, believed to be a rubble screener, has now been righted.

Update 4.26pm: An attempt is now being made to lift the object back upright.

Update 4.01pm: A mother and her two children, who go to a local school in Clyst St Mary, spoke to Nub News at the scene.
One of her children, who was in a classroom at the time, said: "There was a thud, and lots of [what sounded like] breaking glass."
The other child said they heard a 'screeching' during playtime.

Update 3.29pm: A Clyst St Mary resident has said that he believes the object on its side to be a 'screener' for separating rubble on building sites.
He said: "A few lorries have been tipped over on this roundabout [in the past]."

Update 3.16pm: Four mobile cranes are at the scene.

Update 2.46pm: A grit-like substance appears to have been spread over the road.
An unidentified large object is on its side.
A third mobile crane has now arrived.
Devon County Council Alert said on Twitter at 1.10pm: "A376 Closed (Clyst St Mary towards Exmouth) due to ongoing incident. Operational diversion in place with permanent diversion being established. Road closure expected to be 5-6 hours at this time. Expect delays and avoid area if possible."

Original article 1.03pm: Part of the A376 Exmouth Road is currently closed due to an incident involving a lorry on the Clyst St Mary roundabout with the A3052.
Police, fire, and ambulance services are at the scene.
According to the AA, a lorry lost its load resulting in diesel spilling onto the road.
The incident was first reported at 10.18am this morning (Monday 17 January).
A traffic alert from the AA read: "Road closed, queueing traffic and delays due to shed load and spillage of diesel on A376 Exmouth Road both ways from A3052 to B3179. A lorry has tipped its trailer and lost it load as well as spilling diesel everywhere, the road will remain closed into the late ..."
