A brand-new coastal voyage business is set to launch this weekend (15-16 May) in Exmouth.

After almost a full year of planning, Exe Voyages is now ready to go, complete with its 10-meter-long orange and black Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) named 'Voyager'.

The RIB will provide coastal voyages, offering the opportunity to discover Devon's magnificent coastlines and catch a glimpse of tucked-away coves and marine wildlife to thrill-seeking passengers.

Jim, the skipper of the new vessel, said: "It has been really exciting to plan this venture and I'm looking forward to getting out on the water to discover the changing scenery and to share the smiles on people's faces."

Jim previously worked as a yacht instructor in Saint Maarten for several years, and ran a power boat charter day tour.

He continued: "This is nothing like working in the Caribbean – it's so much better because it changes every day!"

Exe Voyages use an 11-seater boat which is available for private hire and they run scheduled voyages towards Budleigh Salterton, and then voyages south of Exmouth towards Dawlish, Teignmouth and Babbacombe bay.

Voyage durations range from 35 minutes to two hours.
