Exmouth: New £2m funding scheme for local businesses, organisations now open

A new £2m funding scheme aimed at local businesses and organisations has been launched by East Devon District Council.

The Innovation and Resilience Fund (IRF), is designed to help businesses and organisations 'deliver a project', such as creating new jobs or products or reducing their carbon footprint.

What funding can be applied for?

The minimum you can get is £2,500, and the maximum is up to £50k per individual bid, or £150k for a collaborative bid (multiple businesses/organisations).

You'll have to show that the project will lead to 'exceptional positive benefits for the local economy.'

What are the eligibility criteria?

You'll need to:

  1. Have been trading before 1 January 2021;
  1. Primarily operate and trade within East Devon;
  1. Not be in administration, insolvent or has been struck off the Companies House register;
  1. Not have exceeded the permitted subsidy control threshold.
