A 92-year-old woman who was involved in a road traffic collision last month on Saturday 31 July has died of her injuries.

Police were called at around 6.45pm last month to the scene of a three-vehicle collision on Exeter Road in Exmouth.

The three cars involved were a blue Suzuki Splash, a black Renault Clio, and a grey Hyundai Tucson.

The woman was the front seat passenger in the Suzuki Splash. The elderly driver was also seriously injured and taken to hospital.

The driver of the Renault, a woman in her 20s, was also potentially seriously injured.

The road was closed for several hours for an investigation into the cause of the collision.

The police would like to thank members of the public for their patience and cooperation, and have asked any witnesses who may have dashcam footage to call 101 quoting log 856, 31 July 2021.
