Monday (May 25) is the Spring Bank Holiday and due to the bank holiday recycling, refuse and green waste collections in Exmouth will be changed.

If you were due to have a refuse collection on Monday, May 25, the collection will instead take place one day later on Tuesday, May 26.

Fluctuating staffing levels at EDDC have meant that the council has had to prioritise certain bin collections over others.

It has prioritised food waste, rubbish and dog waste collections to protect public health.

The news comes after Devon County Council, earlier this month, reopened Knowle Hill Recycling Centre near Exmouth.

Residents displaying coronavirus symptoms, are asked not to visit the recycling centres, while only cars without trailers, with a maximum of two adults per vehicle, will be permitted on site.

To keep unloading times to a minimum, trailers, vans, pick-ups and commercial vehicles will not be granted access for the time being and payments on site must be by credit/debit card only.
