Bookkeeper – Exmouth

Butler Rose are recruiting alongside a regional accountancy firm for a Bookkeeper in their office on the outskirts of Exeter. You will be responsible for providing clients with a bookkeeping service up to trial balance and ensuring VAT deadlines are met. There will also be opportunities to assist in the preparation of client management accounts and you will also be required to offer guidance to more junior members of the team in their bookkeeping tasks.

To be considered for this role, you should ideally have experience of working in a busy practice environment and have good working experience of using online accounting packages, in particular Xero and ideally Sage and QuickBooks.

It is expected that you will be AAT, IAB or ICB qualified or part qualified. You must have strong attention to detail and be able to work independently. Personality and good communication skills are essential as there will be significant client contact.

Asbestos Coordinator – Skypark, Devon

As an Asbestos Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day to day administration for a team of Asbestos Surveyors and Team Leaders as well as assisting other areas of the asbestos management team including asbestos removals and surveys. The role will include contacting customers and arranging appointments, producing schedules of inspections, validating asbestos information as well as minute taking, booking holidays, finance functions and other daily tasks associated with a busy administration team.

To be considered for the role of Asbestos Coordinator you will:

be highly organised and methodical

have a flexible attitude

have excellent IT skills including MS Office

have demonstrable understanding and commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service

hold, or be willing to study towards the BOHS P402 qualification
