Jack Nowell is set to return today (Sat 17 April) as the Chiefs face Wasps in their first premiership game after two weeks of Heineken Champions Cup matches.

The Chiefs performed well in the Champions Cup against Lyon with a fantastic 47 points to 25, but lost last week to a more clinical Leinster and were knocked out of the quarter-finals.

Director of Rugby Rob Baxter said: "I will be honest with you, we have kind of already moved on.

"There are big games ahead, starting this week with Wasps, moving then to Bristol.

"My job is to move the team on into our next new challenge, which is trying to win the Premiership."

Jack Nowell, who has been absent for six months due to damaged toe ligaments and a subsequent hamstring injury, will start on the bench in today's match.

Baxter continued: "He's very much at the level he was when he was fully fit last season.

"We've declared him fit for this weekend and now it's an opportunity for him to show some form.

"From what we have seen in training, he certainly looks sharp and everything looks very positive."

Kickoff is at 12.30pm. Fans can watch on BT Sport or Channel 5.
