Manor Lodge Residential Care Home have raised £1604.00 for the Exmouth RNLI following their popular and well supported fundraising Garden Party on August 3, 2019.

The annual event took place in the gardens at the home in Portland Avenue, Exmouth, organised by owners Ray and Gina Lovegrove, where visitors and residents enjoyed a glorious sunny day, with lots of games, raffles, cakes, tea and coffee all in support of the local RNLI.

Exmouth RNLI Shop and Community Safety Team both had stalls at the event that was supported by the Town Mayor, Councillor Steve Gazzard, and Deputy Mayor, Councillor Brian Bailey.

Manor Lodge Manager, Eileen O'Neill, together with several residents from the home, visited Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat Station on September 4 where they met the volunteer crew and staff, enjoyed a tour of the station, and viewed its All Weather Lifeboat R & J Welburn and Inshore Lifeboat, George Bearman II, before presenting a cheque to the lifesaving charity.

Eileen said: "We had perfect weather for our fundraiser, there was a lovely crowd, everyone was happy and it was just an amazing and well supported garden party. We are very pleased to have raised so much for Exmouth RNLI."

Chair of Exmouth RNLI Fundraising Team, Robin Humphreys, said: "We were very pleased to have our visitors from Manor Lodge Residential Care Home at the Lifeboat Station today. We're so grateful to them for organising such an enjoyable garden party and for raising such an amazing amount for our life saving charity, all of which will go towards funding equipment and training for our volunteer crew at the station."

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the RNLI can use the direct donation through the Exmouth RNLI's Facebook page.
