Rescue from vehicle stuck in flood water at Dalwood, Devon

Date: 27.11.2018Time: 18:44Location: Dalwood, DevonDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of the public reporting a large van stuck in fast flowing flood water.

Two fire appliances from Axminster and Colyton and specialist rescue crews from Exmouth were mobilised by fire control.

On arrival the incident commander confirmed that a large van with one male still inside, was stuck in fast flowing flood water.

Crews used flood suits and specialist rescue lines to wade over to the van and assist the man back to dry land.

The man was treated by paramedics on scene for mild hypothermia
