This evening (Thursday 26) at 8pm the people of Exmouth and across the UK are asked to collectively clap as a show of support for those putting their lives at risk to protect our health.

The Clap For Our Carers campaign has been gaining momentum on social media and has been backed by big name celebrities, Harry and Megan and David and Victoria Beckham.

Organiser, Anne Marie Plas commented: "We need to let the NHS know, how much we appreciate their hard work!

''In Spain, France and the Netherlands they have already done this.

"And being a Dutch Londoner, I want to pass this on in the country I feel so at home, and the NHS have been nothing but amazing to my family and myself."
