During my term of office as the Mayor of Exmouth, it has been an honour, privilege and a fantastic experience.

My wife Sue and I, between appointments, were also fortunate enough to be able to raise funds for the Mayor's Charities.

These were SSAFA and Royal Marines Charities. Both Charities provide much needed assistance to our serving, veteran and family members of our Armed Forces.

With the assistance of: Exmouth Town Council Staff, The Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines CTCRM, The Commandant CTCRM, RM Charities, SAFFA, WO1 Mike Seebrook RM, Exmouth Town Football Club, The Exmouth Journal, THEGREENBERETS, Powder Monkey Staff and customers, Franklins, Celebrations, Exmouth Travel World, Hairport, World of Country Life, St John in The Wilderness Social Committee, Holy Trinity, Woodbury Park, Matford Jaguar, family and friends we would like to thank you all for your support and assistance by providing your services, time, commitment and much needed raffle and auction prizes.

The total amount raised throughout the year was £8,090 which has been equally divided and presented to both charities.

The money raised displays the fantastic Exmouth Community Spirit we have in the town which we have been actively striving to encourage throughout my appointment.

Once again - our thanks to our army of voluntary organisations, associations and groups who are a credit to the town and our local communities.

Sincere thanks,

Cllr Jeff and Sue Trail BEM
