BREAKING: Exmouth Road and Topsham Road road traffic collisions

Two road traffic collisions took place today (22 April) on Exmouth Road and Topsham Road.

Motorists are being advised to avoid these areas.

On Exmouth Road, a car and a light goods vehicle (LGV) were involved in a collision at around 12.30pm.

There was one female casualty, and one male.

The female had to be released from her vehicle by fire crews from Exmouth and Clyst St George with hydraulic tools.

They have both been taken to hospital.

On Topsham Road, there was a serious collision involving a motorbike, a car, and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) between Burnthouse Lane and Matford Lane at around 11am.

The motorcyclist became trapped and had to be released with two sets of hydraulic tools. He is now in hospital.

Police have advised motorists to avoid the Topsham Road, and have also said that Barrack Road is blocked.
