Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club have started the long goodbye to their historic ground at Ottermouth - home to the club since the 1930s - and are due to relocate at the end of this season. A series of celebrations will start this weekend as the in-form 1st XI push for promotion and take on Exeter CC on Saturday.

Then on Sunday the Budleigh Community League Finals day takes place with the finalists aiming to lift the coveted BCL Trophy. The Finals day action starts at 10am with the bar open, and music - along with a BBQ running from 12pm-2pm and then from 4pm-6pm.

Then there are a series of matches, including the BCL Plate Finals on the 28th August, being held at the club in the lead-up to the grand finale on 4 September.

The free "Over and Out" event will include a Junior U13 Final (10am), a BSCC Club XI vs Club Legends game (2pm), along with stalls, competitions, activities and food stands. There will then be an "explosive" ending to celebrate the clubs move to the new ground with a spectacular fireworks display to conclude the evening.

This is a FREE event for the community where there will also be an opportunity to see the plans for the new club and hear about opportunities to get involved.

The club will also shortly be announcing a number of exciting ways to get involved to support the new club - including a way to have your name immortalised forever at the new ground!
