With the current situation around employment and redundancy, Citizens Advice East Devon are keen to raise awareness of the free services available to those who find themselves in difficulty.
Getting advice on problems at an early stage is key to getting on top of them.
That's why we are introducing a new advice service supporting our clients in Exmouth who's income has been impacted by the pandemic.
Not only is this support arriving at a critical time for a lot of people, it will also allow us the opportunity to provide additional skills and workshops for the local community.
Our trained advisors will be on hand to advise and support our client's employment and redundancy queries – from entitlement questions to tribunal support – ensuring people are being treated fairly.
We are really thrilled to introduce an additional element to this service by collaborating with Devon County Council alongside Learn Devon who have designed five learning opportunities to support our clients back to employment and education.
This will be offered to anyone that contacts us and expresses a need to support them back into employment.
Courses include CV writing, online interview skills, or overcoming your fears about employment to name a few.
Some people may need to access our employment and redundancy advice for the first time, and others may need advice on how to manage other areas that have been impacted by their change of circumstances such as housing, benefit check, debt advice.
These are all areas that our trained advisors are experienced in dealing with, and can support you with over the telephone and online.
