Commercial Property Fire at Commercial Building, Crediton, Devon.

Date: 14.06.2019Time: 21:29Location: Commercial Building, Crediton, Devon.1 Fire engine from Crediton and 2 from Danes Castle Exeter, along with the aerial ladder platform were sent to the above location to reports of a fire.On arrival, crews confirmed that smoke and flames were issuing from the property and requested 5 additional fire engines, with the building and roof well alight.At 21:52 The Officer In Charge requested the attendance of the High Volume Pump.At 21:57 The OIC requested another 4 fire engines, making it a total of 12 and requested a 2nd aerial ladder platform to attend as the fire was starting to spread to the remainder of the building. Fire engines, specialist appliances and officers from the following Fire Stations are currently in attendance.Crediton, Danes Castle, Middlemoor, Topsham, North Tawton, Tiverton, Witheridge, Honiton, Ivybridge, Bovey Tracey, Okehampton, Chagford, Chulmleigh, Torquay and the High Volume Pump from the Urban Search & Rescue based at Service HQ are all in attendance.  This is a fire within a building measuring approx. 30m by 25m by 18m high.  Crews are currently at work with 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 4 hose reel jets, 1 aerial ladder platform and 2 light portable pumps.Updates to follow when available....
