The COVID-19 infection rate in East Devon has risen slightly but is still less than half the national average with less than one additional case per day, latest statistics show.

The Exmouth Littleham area saw a cluster of three positive cases between 5-11 May, together with 18 other similar areas in Devon - but no area recorded more than five positive cases for the same period.

The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital has seven patients in hospital following a positive COVID-19 test - its lowest total since 13 October, while North Devon District Hospital, Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, and Torbay Hospital currently have none.

There have been no COVID-19 deaths in any Devon hospitals since 29 April, making this the longest period since September in which there have been no deaths in the county related to COVID-19.
