29th Jul 2021 | Local News

Exmouth Nub News' Event of the Week this week is a Drowning Prevention Day hosted by NCI Exmouth.

What is it?

It'll be a collaborative event between the Royal Life Saving Society, National Coastwatch Institution Exmouth, and Exmouth RNLI Water Safety Team, in which the public can come along and find out more about staying safe around the coast.

The RLSS will speak about drowning prevention, and the RNLI will show you how to check your lifejacket to make sure it's effective.

NCI Exmouth will also speak about the work they do and how they fit into the search and rescue infrastructure.

Where will it take place?

The event will be hosted by NCI Exmouth at Coastwatch House on Queens Drive opposite the old lifeboat station.

It will take place on Saturday 19 June from 10am until 4pm.
