An Exmouth boy has raised over £1.4k for Devon Air Ambulance Trust by doing a 5km charity walk.
Mikey Dance, pictured, completed the walk on Exmouth seafront in his pyjamas on Saturday morning (1 October).
The eight-year-old decided to raise money for the charity after losing his grandad Raymond Moore in June this year. Devon Air Ambulance had been involved in efforts to save Mr Moore's life.
Raymond was well known in the town and ran Moore's Pasties, which was founded by his father in the 1970s, until he retired in 2019. It is still operating today at the Dinan Way Trading Estate and is run by his son Daniel Moore.
Mikey's mother Ria Dance said: "He started in the pitch black and finished in daylight and did it with a smile the whole way.
"I can't express how proud I am. Thank you all for the support and donations - the amount raised really is phenomenal.
"There is still plenty of time to make a donation of any amount to such a worth while cause.
"Our aim was never about time but to make sure it was completed and he absolutely smashed it!"
Mikey has raised £1,420 in total so far on his JustGiving page and more in cash donations.
