Exmouth Rotary Club has cancelled its coronation concert over an apparent lack of interest from the public.

Dubbed "A Coronation Special Celebration with AJ's Big Band", the event would have taken place on Monday (8 May) at Exmouth Pavilion in aid of The Prince's Trust, Exmouth Food Bank and other Rotary charities.

Starting from 7.30pm, it would have had cabaret-style tables of 10 and a dance floor with tickets costing £17.50.

An Exmouth Rotary spokesperson said: "It is with great sadness that we must cancel our coronation celebration event.

"We clearly misjudged the level of response from the public.

"Sincere apologies to those who have already bought tickets. Refunds may be obtained from the Pavilion booking office."
