An Exmouth man who had been set to take on a cycling challenge in memory of his son to raise money for local suicide bereavement charity Pete's Dragons has had both of his bikes stolen.

Patrick Neal, whose son Ollie died by suicide in 2021, had been going to ride 1,214km in just 90 hours in the Audax challenge from Paris to Brest and back starting on 20 August.

But en route to Paris today (Friday 18 August) after travelling in Italy both of his bicycles were stolen in Grenoble in the French Alps.

Further updates on the situation will be available soon, according to his wife.
