East Devon District Council is now offering a special winter parking deal until March 2022 to encourage people to shop and support businesses in the local area.

The deal is available in all of the council's pay and display car parks in Exmouth, Seaton, Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Beer, Axminster, Honiton, Ottery St Mary, Lympstone and Colyton.

Parking will cost £2 all day until midnight. If you're using the RingGo app, you'll need to use the location code 42973 to use the offer.

Councillor Paul Hayward, EDDC's deputy leader and portfolio holder for economy and assets, said: "The feedback we received from last year's parking offer showed that it was a great success and, as in 2020, you can also use the same £2 ticket in any other East Devon pay and display car park on that day so why not visit another local town in the district to discover something different on offer.

"Your local high street needs you more than ever at this time of uncertainty - and I hope that this parking offer will encourage you to visit and support your community businesses. There has never been a better time to shop local."

The council has said that people should not be worried if the ticket doesn't show the right expiry time, as parking officers will just be checking that the £2 has been paid.
