Exmouth Nub News' event of the week is Dire Straits tribute band Money for Nothing's concert this Friday at Exmouth Pavilion.

You can check out other events coming up this week in Exmouth on our What's On page, such as mackerel and reef fishing trips, natural crafts & campfire cooking, and HM Royal Marines Band in concert

It will start at 7.30pm, with tickets costing £21.50 or £23.50 in the raised seating area.

The tribute band was formed in 2000, and 'the abundant energy and the excellence and musicality of their performance makes Money for Nothing a must-see for any rock enthusiast or Dire Straits fan.'

Fronting the band on guitar is Aled Williams, who reportedly sounds very similar to Mark Knopfler.

Money for Nothing has been reviewed in the Observer: "Make no mistake…they are good…..VERY GOOD!"

Having had its 20th anniversary last year, the band will be playing all the well-known hits like 'Sultans of Swing', 'Brothers in Arms', 'Walk of Life' and also 'Money For Nothing' (ft. Sting) which was the first video ever to be played on MTV!
