An Exmouth family say they are 'devastated' after their son's bicycle was stolen from outside Exmouth Community College yesterday (September 25).

Lorraine Richards told Nub News that she and her 16-year-old son are devastated by theft after saving up for the bike, a red Carrera Hellcat worth £340, and buying it from Halfords in March this year.

The bike, pictured above, was stolen from the edge of Phear Park, opposite Exmouth Community College, yesterday. It was locked to a lamp post but thieves were able make off with the bicycle.

Lorraine said: "We are all devastated as he saved hard to buy it new from Halfords. He only bought it in March this year and it cost him £340.

"He uses it to get to college every day and to his part time job at the weekend which is not really within walking distance.

"It's so frustrating that people think they have a right to take someone else's hard earned property."

If you have any information which might help the police find the bike contact the police on 101 or email [email protected], quoting crime reference number: CR08716319.
