By Hannah Corfield 29th Jul 2021

Exmouth Fire Services were called to an animal rescue this morning at 10.30am, to rescue a cow which was stuck in a stream in Tedburn St Mary.

The cow was freed and escaped from the incident unharmed.

In a statement, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Our specialist animal rescue team from Exmouth and a crew from our Urban Search and Rescue team from Clyst St George, were sent to assist a farmer in the removal of a young cow that had become stuck in a stream.

"Crews used animal rescue kit and small tools to release the cow unharmed."
