Exmouth Fire Station save Rudolph from World Cup excitement

Exmouth Fire Station was involved in the rescue of a deer that had become caught in a football net.

On Monday 5 December the Plympton Fire Station responded to reports that a (rein)deer had become caught in the nets of a football goal. The crew from Exmouth Fire Station were mobilised to assist the animal. An RSPCA officer also attended the scene.

The deer was kept was calm as possible during the operation to remove him. Plympton Fire Station made the scene safe and maintained a safe distance from the animal.

Exmouth's Animal Rescue team safely released 'Rudolph'.

Once he had been released, the fire crews removed the other netting to make sure he not become entangled again.
