Exmouth firefighters help release person trapped after crash

Exmouth firefighters helped deal with a road traffic collision in Beer last night (Thursday 2 September).

The incident left one person trapped in their vehicle.

Four fire crews including one from Exmouth and two from Sidmouth were called out at 9.10pm, along with a heavy rescue unit from Middlemoor, Exeter.

They used hydraulic equipment, a reciprocating saw and small tools to release the casualty, who was then handed over to ambulance crew for medical treatment.
