Exmouth food review: Sundowners | Opinion

By Will Goddard

8th Aug 2021 | Local News

There's a beautiful little café on the Strand called Sundowners which I've walked past many a time, but only yesterday tried out.

There's something just so visually appealing about the café's setup: its blue striped awnings, outside seating with parasols, and little serving hatch give it a very understated, subtle sophistication that makes it feel almost French or Italian.

I ordered a 'Kentucky Chick'n Style' wrap with cheese and sweet chilli - and it was extraordinary.

To be perfectly honest, I probably would have ordered every item on the specials menu that day - lentil and spinach soup, roast vegetable pasties, lime cheesecake, lemon and poppyseed cakes, and a pulled pork panini all had my imagination going in circles.

I can't praise this little place enough. You can find Sundowners on the Strand here and on Facebook here.
