An Exmouth mum is setting up a Big Neighbourhood Pumpkin Trail across the town to offer local youngsters a safe alternative to trick or treating.
The hope is that families across Exmouth will take part, creating their own unique pumpkin designs for children to find over the Halloween weekend.
So far 45 people have expressed an interest in taking part but the event organiser is hoping to involve families from across Exmouth.
The event is being organised by Stevie Hill, the owner of Just Purr-fect Dog Day Care, she told Nub News: "This year will be my first Halloween with my 16 month old, I'm pretty gutted that we can't do trick or treating but I want to be able to still do something.
"I think it would be great for a lot of local children to be able to do something in the spirit of Halloween.
"Halloween 2020 might be a bit different this year and trick or treating as we know it will be off the cards but we can still have loads of spooky fun!
"This Halloween let's all join together to create The Big Neighbourhood Pumpkin Trail. Stick a pumpkin in your window or outside your home - a real one, plastic, painted or whatever you like!
"Together we can create one giant pumpkin trail in our local areas and children can see how many they can spot over the Halloween weekend."
Stevie is asking people who plan to take part to let her know on the event's Facebook here.
Exmouth Nub News would love to see your pumpkin designs, once you have designed your pumpkin send a picture to Exmouth Nub News editor Joe Bulmer, [email protected].
