Update 2.14pm: The road is now clear.

A road to the north of Exmouth is currently closed due to a fallen tree bringing down power cables.

Higher Marley Road is closed both ways from the B3179 to Marley Road.

According to the AA, the incident was first reported at 6.59am and the road has been closed since 8am.

An AA traffic alert reads: "Road closed and slow traffic due to fallen power cables and fallen tree on Higher Marley Road both ways from B3179 to Marley Road.

"Closed since around 08:00, a tree has come down bringing down a set of power cables."
