Home care company Bluebird Care Ltd is currently looking for a Care Assistant and two Night Care Assistants to join its team.

Rated 'Outstanding' by the Care Quality Commission, it's on the lookout for naturally compassionate, caring and patient individuals who genuinely care for each of its customers as if they were their own family.

1. Care Assistant - Exmouth

Location: Exmouth

Salary: £10.50 - £26.00/hour

Hours: 42/week

Contract type: Permanent

Responsibilities: Providing personal care duties such as washing and toileting, medication prompting/ administering, manual handling (using equipment where required), promoting customer health and well-being and enabling them to live their life to the full, companionship

2. Night Care Assistant - Friday Saturday

Location: Exeter, Mid, West & East Devon

Salary: £10.50 - £26.00/hour, or from £8.91/hour (sleep-in)

Hours: 18 guaranteed hours per week, Waking Nights Carers working Friday & Saturday nights

Contract type: Permanent

Responsibilities: Sleeping in the customers home and supporting them up to three times a night with personal care, toileting & continence care [sleep-in only], all aspects of personal care such as showering, bathing, dressing, toileting & continence care, assisting and prompting with medication, preparing and serving food and drinks, safely using aids and personal equipment in a manner that respects the dignity of customers, supporting a customer through temporary and terminal illness, including end of life care

NB: Waking Nights Carers work from 10pm to 7am. Referrals made on the day of booking. You will be guaranteed pay for the full night even if there is no booking. You must be available to receive referrals for the night up until 2am of each shift. Travel is paid if you are expected to travel more than 30 minutes from home.
