Katie McCabe, 14, has reached North Wales after embarking from the Exe Estuary on her solo sail around the island of Great Britain last month (Wednesday 30 June).

She arrived in Scotland on Tuesday 20 July, and passed through the Caledonian Canal all the way from Inverness to Oban.

Heading south, she arrived in Conwy, North Wales on Monday 2 August - covering 172 miles in 32.5 hours.

Soon she will sail down past Wales to Land's End, and hopes to arrive back in the Exe Estuary at the end of August.

If she completes her journey, she will be the youngest person to sail solo around Great Britain.
