Local girl Charlotte Helman, 15, has won a prize in a South West in Bloom art competition.

Her artwork on the theme of 'Life in Lockdown', pictured above (2), won first prize in the age 12-16 category of Exmouth Mayor Steve Gazzard's art competition in May.

Charlotte's entry was then forwarded to the South West in Bloom competition. She won the 12-16 age category, and was presented with a framed certificate on 6 November during the Repair Café in Littlemead Methodist Church by Gerry Bassett of Exmouth in Bloom.

Brownie Connie Mewse and Rainbow Elspeth Snook also won 'Highly Commended' awards for the 7-11 and 6-and-under age categories respectively.
