A local internet provider has halved the price of its ultrafast 'fibre-to-the-premises' broadband packages to help with the national cost-of-living crisis.

The company, Jurassic Fibre, was set up by Sidmouth resident Michael Maltby in 2018.

Its ultrafast broadband network has already gone live in Exmouth, Honiton, Sidmouth and in other towns and villages in the South West.

Chief Customer Officer Sarah Howells said: "We understand many people may feel shocked and concerned at the news of energy bills rising, so we want to do our bit to show our support for local families and help keep utility bills low by reducing our prices.

"We hope that local people will take advantage of our offer to help keep their household utility bills down."

The half-price offer will be in place until 30 June. Its lowest price is currently 150 Mbps for £17.50 per month.
