Exmouth: Local photographer captures Woodbury Common appearing like African Serengeti
A local photographer captured a shot of Woodbury Common looking like what he described as the Serengeti in East Africa this week.
Brian Carroll, 66, from Exeter, took the photograph while out walking on the heathland at 8am on Wednesday (8 February).
He said: "The fog was just clearing with the sun giving it an orange glow.
"This part of the common always looks like the Serengeti with the isolated trees, but the colour gave it an even more impression of being in East Africa."
The Serengeti National Park is located in Tanzania and borders Kenya.
It is known for its plains, isolated trees, and large numbers of animals such as lions, wildebeest and zebras.
