Exmouth: Lympstone man captures breathtaking photo while walking dog

This breathtaking photo captures the moment an aeroplane was flying over the UK with the moon lurking in the backdrop.

Brian Carroll, 64, was out walking his dog along the River Exe in Lympstone, Devon at around 10am when he stumbled across the perfect photo opportunity.

The photo shows a passenger jet flying over the UK thought to be heading for the capital.

Behind the plane is a long trail of airline vapour and a stunning half-moon placed perfectly in the sky.

Brian, a surveyor, from Lympstone, Devon, said: "It was a really clear morning and I thought I'd take my camera with me just in case.

"I noticed the high-level plane and the backdrop was just astonishing - it was a lovely moment."
