The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms tomorrow.

The warning covers much of southern England, Wales, and the Midlands, and will be in force from 4am to 12pm tomorrow (Wednesday 20 October).

According to the Met Office, 'A brief period of heavy rain, thunderstorms and very gusty winds may cause some disruption on Wednesday morning.'

The organisation is advising the public that a few homes and businesses could be flooded, bus and train services affected, and flooding on roads could increase journey times.

Despite the warning, bright sunshine is also forecast around midday, with highs of 16 degrees and lows of 12.

Wind speeds will be high with gusts of up to 36mph.
