New flights to the USA and Canada via Dublin from Exeter Airport have now been announced.

The routes reportedly enable passengers to catch a connecting flight 'seamlessly' thanks to US immigration pre-clearance at Dublin Airport - that is, passengers will be treated as domestic arrivals in the United States when they land.

The North American destinations now available are New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, and Toronto. Exclusive operator of Aer Lingus Regional Emerald Airlines will be operating the Exeter-Dublin routes, and Aer Lingus the transatlantic network.

Exeter Airport Managing Director Stephen Wiltshire said: "We're thrilled to see the start of flights from Exeter to North America via Dublin.

"They open up a range of transatlantic destinations and regional air travel to Ireland for leisure and business passengers.

"We're also seeing overseas bookings from people in Ireland and North America keen to explore Devon and the South West."

You can book flights from Exeter to Dublin and on to the USA and Canada online here.
