An Exmouth nurse and his husband will soon move into their dream seaside home, thanks to a NHS and care worker discount scheme, offered by a major housing developer.

Ashley, 30, and his husband James, 29, have recently bought a four-bedroom home in Taylor Wimpey's new Plumb Park development.

The site is formed around a hilltop park, known locally as Donkey Hill, giving beautiful sea views all year round.

The Care Worker Discount Scheme gives NHS and care support workers five per cent off the purchase of a home.

Ashley said: "We chose Plumb Park as we loved its location.

"We really wanted to be close to the seafront and we love Exmouth beach - it's our favourite.

"We were impressed with the range of homes available too, which are built to a very high standard.

"We really loved that Taylor Wimpey had taken the environment into consideration with plenty of open spaces and parks, the planting of trees, the bird and bat boxes to encourage wildlife, and the protected badger set nearby.

"We were fortunate enough to qualify for Taylor Wimpey's care worker discount, which has taken some of the pressure off saving money to pay for the optional extras that we wanted in our new home.

"This is going to be our forever home and we didn't want to have to compromise on the interior.

"The discount is a really kind gesture from Taylor Wimpey and goes to show what a lovely company they are, proving they think about the wider community and more importantly, the NHS."
