Exmouth: Police appeal for witnesses after man approaches girl on Moorfield Road

Police are appealing for witnesses after a girl was approached by a male stranger yesterday morning (Monday 6 December) at around 8.45am.
The incident is reported to have happened on Moorfield Road in Withycombe Raleigh.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police have been made aware of an incident which is reported to have taken place on Moorfield Road at around 8.45am on Monday [6 December].
"It was reported that a child was approached by a man, who was unknown to her, and attempted to speak to her. The child ... made her [way] to safety and the matter was reported to police.
"The man was described as wearing a black jacket, red top and was carrying a can of drink and holding a cigarette."
