Exmouth is set to host its very first beach tag rugby festival this coming weekend.

Tag rugby is a non-contact sport and involves removing tags attached to players to 'tackle' them.

From Friday 27 to Sunday 29 May, teams of all levels of experience will be competing in five-a-side matches on Exmouth Beach.

Organisers are expecting teams from across the UK to join in. There will be different sections of men, women, and families.

The dress code theme will be 'Baywatch', an American drama series from the 1980s-90s about lifeguards.

Organisers have also chosen to fundraise for The Royal Marines Charity.

How can I join in?

Squads are allowed a maximum of 10 players for the five-a-side matches with rolling substitutions.

It costs £125 per team to take part.
