Exmouth: Weekend weather update

Local News by Will Goddard 31st Jul 2021

After a wetter week at the tail end of the heatwave, this weekend is not looking up.

What's going on with Storm Evert?

The Met Office's yellow wind warning was in place until 12pm on Friday 30 July. Storm Evert has now largely passed over the South West.

Saturday

Saturday will see a dry, mild morning with low wind speeds.

By midday however, rain and thunder showers will close in, but these will eventually clear up by 6pm for a calm evening with sunny intervals.

Sunday

Sunday will have a very nice, clear morning with blue skies, turning into showers by 1pm, and wind speeds building up with gusts of up to 19mph.

Again, by 7pm the rain will clear for a nice evening - but the strong winds will remain.

Next week

Looking ahead, Monday through to Thursday will see very mild temperatures of around 17 degrees with regular light showers and high winds on Wednesday and Thursday of up to 31mph.
