Fire services were called at approximately 4.15am this morning to attend a blaze at Greendale Business Park.

A heavy goods vehicle carrying white goods had caught alight.

Two fire appliances and a water bowser from Middlemoor and Danes Castle attended the fire.

According to a statement by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue: "On arrival the first crew requested an extra pump and stated the vehicle was well alight and spreading to adjacent vehicles.

"At its height, crews used six breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a foam jet, short extension ladder and two main jets.

"The vehicle was completely destroyed by fire."
