Date: 03.08.2018Time: 20:13Location: Honey Park Road, Budleigh Salterton.The Fire Service were called to reports of a fire within a domestic property at the above location. One fire appliance from Exmouth and both fire appliances from Sidmouth were mobilised to this incident.

Once the crews got in attendance the officer in charge confirmed this to be a fire involving a first floor bedroom. The crew got to work immediately to extinguish the fire with the use of two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one safety jet.

Once the fire crew had fully extinguished the fire, the crew used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the property of smoke. Once the crew ensured the area was made safe the care of the property was handed back over to the occupants.

The bedroom was severely damaged by fire and the remainder of the first floor was damaged by smoke and water. The cause of this fire is believed to be accidental.
