Date: 15.04.2019Time: 12:04Location: Paris Street, ExeterFire Control mobilised one appliance each from Danes Castle, Middlemoor and Topsham stations along with the aerial ladder from Danes Castle to a reported lift shaft fire in a commercial building. On arrival they reported a strong smell of burning in the lift shaft but no obvious sign of fire. Further investigation discovered a small fire involving paper on top of a filter coffee machine. Firefighters removed the smouldering paper using gloves and a chimney bucket and damped it down outside.Smoke was removed using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
