Date: 07.02.2019Time: 18:48Location: Dixs Field, ExeterDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of the public reporting a smell of burning and smoke in a stairwell of a commercial property at the above location.

Appliances from Danes Castle, Topsham and Crediton along with a Aerial Ladder Platform from Danes Castle were immediately mobilised by Fire Control.

On arrival the Incident Commander confirmed that a small fire had been set in the stairwell of the property, but was out on arrival.

Police were requested as the fire is believed to have been deliberate.
