Fire services called out to car fire in Exmouth

Fire control received multiple calls to reports of a vehicle on fire at Rolle Villas in Exmouth at 17:33 yesterday afternoon.

In a statement released by Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service: "One fire engine from Exmouth fire station was mobilised immediately.

"On arrival crews confirmed that the vehicle was well alight and set to work with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire."

The owner of the vehicle was at the scene and the cause of the fire was confirmed as accidental.
