'Demons' is the first single release from, Exmouth based, new-wave reggae outfit The Barefoot Bandit's debut album.

'Head pounding, sore eyes, thoughts of impending doom?' Demons is an explosion of heavy bass, bountiful brass and an unforgettable chorus.

Retaining a dub, roots, and reggae feel but also touching on bossa nova and world rhythms. The track explores the morning emotions of a human after a whirlwind of a time enjoying oneself far too much.

It also touches on how drugs and alcohol can affect mental health and the notion that it's okay to have a good time but not to over indulge.

Fresh from recording their debut album at the 'paradisical' Karma Sound Studios in Thailand, the band have already lined up big things for 2020 that will see them perform at many of the UK's favourite festivals including opening the main stage at NASS.

Last year brought bundles of festival appearances and memorable support sets with Easy Star All Stars, The Cat Empire and Gentleman's Dub Club.

This year, countless shows around the UK and multiple appearances at Glastonbury Festival and Boomtown Fair have seen The Barefoot Bandit become a prolific festival outfit.

Radio 1 Xtra's David Rodigan described the Exmouth outfit as, 'Fresh British Reggae', and Matumbi's David Bovell said: "I love these guys".

Building a strong and loyal fan base, TBB have spread their sounds far and wide. Packed out shows at prestigious venues such as Electric Ballroom in Camden, Princess Pavilions in Falmouth and The Fleece in Bristol have seen The Barefoot Bandit become a must watch act on the touring and festival circuit. The six piece have just finished recording their debut album at Karma Studios in Thailand and the record is due for release in later 2020.

Festival highlights include multiple appearances at Glastonbury Festival and Boomtown Fair. Plus headline slots and main stage displays at some of the UK's favourite music festivals.

Having reached #4 in the iTunes reggae charts, TBB have released 2 EPs: 'Call Me A Liar' and 'Hard Life.' Both releases have received national airplay from the likes of legendary DJ David Rodigan on BBC Radio 1 Extra and numerous plays on BBC Introducing.

The Bandit has had the pleasure of supporting renowned artists such as Lee "Scratch" Perry, Katchafire, The Cat Empire, Easy Star All-Stars, Dubioza Kolectiv, Gentleman's Dub Club, Horace Panter & Lynval Golding (The Specials) and have been regular openers for electronica dub favourites, Dreadzone.
